F1 and RV7 take out medals.
On Saturday June the 24th Mark Esterhuizen and Norman Younie flew their planes to the Hope fly-in in Hope BC Canada.(CYHE). Both of them were surprised to win first prizes. Mark with his F1 Rocket won first place for the best built home-built aircraft and Norman with his RV-7 won first place for the most noteworthy aircraft. Each prize was a 50 dollar bill. Not bad for a days outing in the most gorgeous weather possible for flying. The event was put on by the local flying club and attended by about 100 aircraft and many of the local towns folk. Great fun was had by all with good food, great entertainment by some local bands and the local RC club and the sail planes. Hope is the sail plane capital of Canada. It is also one of the most scenic airport in North America to fly into.
